Do I need my own truck?
Yes. HaulBid is for owner-operators and small fleets. We don’t dispatch company trucks — we connect contractors with drivers who own/lease their equipment.
What truck types are accepted?
Tri-axles, end-dumps, side-dumps, super-dumps, and bottom-dumps to start. We’ll add belly-dumps and live-floor trailers based on Tulsa demand. Contractors specify what they need per job — you’ll only see compatible loads.
What insurance do I need?
Standard commercial auto liability ($1M minimum) and cargo coverage. Upload a current COI during onboarding — we re-verify annually.
Am I a HaulBid employee?
No. You’re an independent contractor. HaulBid is a marketplace, not an employer. You decide which loads to bid on, when to work, and how to run your business. We just make finding the work easier.
How fast do I get paid?
Once the contractor confirms the load is complete, Stripe initiates ACH payout to your bank. Most drivers see funds within 1–2 business days. Same-day instant payouts (1% fee) coming after launch.
What if a contractor doesn’t release the funds?
Funds auto-release 48 hours after you mark the job complete and upload dump tickets, unless the contractor opens a dispute. We review disputes using your in-app evidence (photos, GPS, timestamps).
What does it cost?
5% of your bid total, taken from the payout. No subscriptions, no listing fees, no withdrawal fees. See the full pricing breakdown.

Yes. You’re an independent operator. Drive for whoever pays you the best on any given day.
